The internet has dramatically changed the way companies and organisations market themselves. A lot of the methods that used to work well – such as press advertising, direct mail, cold calling – don’t work on the web. People are bored and fed-up with that kind of advertising. To be successful, you need to make sure you’re visible in the right places at the right time, and use the web to build good relationships with potential and existing customers.
Most of the people I work with recognise that their business needs to be online, but often they’re not sure how to create a presence that will achieve their aims – whether that’s sales, leads or sign-ups. They sometimes have a website already and want to increase the amount of business it generates.
